Lip-service
when I first got my job I was so excited and I started to think about the people that I'm going to work with the people that I'm going to meet ...People of all walks of life ... Then it was time to meet my boss he is nice, talkative , hyperactive , and very sociable !!!! The thing is that he was expecting me to be like him !!! Well , I'm not talkative I'm brief , I'm active , I'm sociable but I don't kiss people's ass :/. I do believe that I should have my own dignity and respect !!! I'm not good at lip service ... You know even my job doesn't require to kiss people's ass but he thinks that this is part of my job ... Guess what I'm gonna do it my way ... I was shocked when I knew that some people do it ... It really hurts !!! Anyway the good news that now he respects me and understands me well .
What do you think about lip-service ?
Would you kiss people's ass to get your was6a done ?

I don't know how to do it even if I want to!! It is not my nature!! All I know is just to hit the table when I am pissed off from my boss or when I want them to apply my idea (since it is great :p) but they are not listening :@

If i wear the boss I would ask for respect and dignity ...cuz wallah galby ye3awerny to see somebody doing it !!! any way I'm good listener and if i get angry i do not show my anger ... so you will be lucky if i wear your boss ;p

Yes , I feel that your talking about me !!! I won't give up my dignity and I do not know how to lipservice ! I can be nice , polite but never expect to lipservice :P

I don't personally believe in giving lip service to anyone unless it is personal, well no just kidding. Really though I find that if you do than you will not be well respected in the work place, at least not as much as if you were to stand up for yourself. In the short run it may have a slight negative impact but long term you and others will respect you much more for it.

well sadly enough! this is how it is in our little country!
my old man really was sacked 'for good' off his job for not applying them shameful daily kisses! and that was a long time ago.
but anyway back to the main subject. you want my own opinion on this! if you don't kiss arses, you don't get anywhere. you can't advance! you stay where you're at. unless you have a higher power where it can lift you to some other place.

Not really... I can be friendly and socialize with others and yes it is MY WAY , take it or leave it ...I mean I met some people and they were like "oh my God" even men they have no dignity .. can't they just wait ?! and see how things go on ?! Work hard ... do it yourself ... I don't know how to put this in words ... but i'm sure that you know what i mean !

if you're that lucky of having 'maybe' a good boss! where he has some humane judgement for others! then all is good :)

Well , you have a point ... bas wallah I do not have vitamin WAW ... I'm just optimistic and believe that i get my power by God ... I had moments of ups and downs . I was neglected for some time yet i was used to be on the spot . I just dislike to kiss people's ass ... I don't mind of being polite and say the words that makes me and others happy and satisfied ... the point is I'm not "wayhee manchab " I hate that kind of people " razat face" !
You know the people that i work with ... I know how to deal with them i don't give them the chance to "ye6a700n le meyannah" that means I don't let them cross the red line
some asses are great to kiss but rarely get me anywhere
